The VascuChek®’s Doppler probes for surgical use are single-use sensors manufactured for use in sterile fields. The detachable probe includes a sheath to cover the transceiver. You can purchase the VascuChek®’s disposable Doppler probes for surgical procedures, with 40 sterile Doppler probes in each case. Four boxes of probes come in one case, giving you 10 disposable Doppler probes per box.
Remington makes it more cost effective to purchase probes for clinical use on an as-needed basis. Our clinical probes don’t require a sheath, and connecting a probe for non-sterile use is as simple as clicking it into place.

Connecting a Doppler probe to the VascuChek® transceiver is seamless, and we make sure you understand each step. That’s why we offer complete training to ensure accurate Doppler probe connectivity for surgical and clinical screenings.
The VascuChek®’s clinical Doppler probe connectivity is as simple as inserting the transceiver into the open end of the probe and pressing it until it clicks into place. Connecting the surgical probe with our patented sheath requires a few more steps, but Remington helps you learn them along the way:
- Using the aseptic technique, open the outer packaging and dispense the Doppler probe into the sterile field.
- Remove the Doppler probe from the remaining packaging and hold by its tip with open end facing the transceiver.
- Transfer the transceiver into the sterile field by inserting it into the open end of the Doppler probe and pressing until it clicks into place.
- Hold the tab marked “Pull” and pull steadily to extend the sheath completely over the transceiver.
- Continue pulling to remove the tab and expose the internal adhesive.
- Press the sides marked “Seal” together to seal the transceiver within the sheath. Ensure a complete seal is established at the open end of the sheath.
